Chena chili is a popular dish from the Indian state of Odisha, made with chena (also known as chana or Bengal gram) and chili peppers. It is a spicy and flavorful dish that can be made at home with a few simple ingredients.

To make chena chili, you will need:

1 cup chena (soaked overnight)
2-3 chili peppers (adjust to taste)
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
Salt, to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions:

Drain and rinse the soaked chena and set it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion, tomato, and garlic. Sauté until the onion turns translucent.
Add the chena and chili peppers to the pan and stir well.
Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt, and stir to combine.
Cover the pan and cook until the chena is tender, about 20-25 minutes.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
Note: You can also add some potato cubes to make it more interesting.
