This is my favorite Japanese Garlic Chili Oil and I always get a lot of compliments from my friends when I share it with them! Very addictive taste and it goes great with various dishes!
It’s quite expensive to buy this kind of Japanese chili oil in the US, but I always make a bunch with this recipe.
If you like garlic and spicy food, this is a MUST to try 🙂

*All measurements are in US standard format
★Garlic Chili Oil
4oz (100g-110g) Peeled garlic
1 cup Cooking oil (Canola or Vegetable)
1 cup Sesame oil
2-3 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Soy sauce
2tsp Salt
2 tbsp Red chili pepper
2 tbsp Sesame seeds
1 tbsp Korean gochujang (red chili paste)
1 cup Fried onion
To taste Green onion (Optional)

★With silken tofu
★With dumplings (+ soy sauce)
★With salad ( + lime or lemon juice)
★With any noodles
(my favorite is with some cold noodles + veggies + soba noodle soup)
