An easy chili recipe that is quick and simple to make. This recipe can be easily changed according to personal preferences and can be prepared ahead of time in a slow cooker.
Chili Ingredients:
1 lb of lean ground beef
4 cans of chili hot beans
4 small 8oz cans of tomato sauce
1 large can of crushed tomatoes (I think it is 28 or 32oz)
1 small diced onion
1 packet of chili seasoning
2 gloves of garlic
salt
black pepper
onion powder
garlic powder
*can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (optional)
Saute onions in a tablespoon or so of olive oil until they are translucent. Add in 2 cloves of chopped garlic and 1 lb of ground beef. Cook until ground beef is no longer pink. Add in a couple of dashes of black pepper, salt, onion and garlic powder. I didn’t measure these but I usually do them to taste and add more if needed. Next add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili beans, chili seasoning and can of diced tomatoes with green chilies if you are making the spicier version. Stir everything together and simmer on medium heat for about 15-20 min to allow the flavors to blend. Serve plain or with crackers, corn chips, nachos, cheddar cheese, hot sauce and sour cream.
*If you want a chunkier spicier chili you can add fresh diced tomatoes, large diced onions, diced green peppers, jalapenos or any other type of pepper you like.
This chili will keep in the refrigerator for several days and tastes even better the next day. You can freeze what is left in a freezer container or a freezer bag. I hope you enjoy it. Give us a thumbs up if you do and please subscribe to our channel for new videos.
