Adding lentils bulks up the meat and saves you a dollar! It’s all about the sauce and the crispy meatballs in this one. Perfect food! You can also make the meatballs and use them with tomato sauce too. You do you!

Maple Chili Meatballs

🛍Ingredients
1 package of ground Beyond Meat
1 cup cooked lentils
½ cup sunflower seeds
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp salt
Sauce
1 cup maple syrup
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp red chili flakes or fresh chilis

🔪Method
1. Puree the cooked lentils and sunflower seeds in a food processor until smooth. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
2. Using the purple scoop, scoop out the balls loosely then form with your hands to form nice tight balls.
3. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
4. Make the sauce by adding all the ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil and reduce to low for 5 minutes, until thickened.
