Here is the recipe for my chili-
SAVORY TURKEY CHILI
2 pounds of raw ground turkey
2 16 ounce cans of tomatoes, cut up
2 15 ounce cans of kidney beans
1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup of red wine
1 to 2 tablespoons of chili powder
1 teaspoon of dried parsley
3/4 teaspoon of dried basil
3/4 teaspoon of oregano
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 clove of garlic, minced
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of ground red pepper
1 bay leaf
green, red or yellow peppers cut into rings to garnish
Brown the meat in a fry pan until no longer pink, drain off any grease. Put in crockpot and ad in remaining ingredients and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6 hours.
Serve with peppers on top. Cheese and sour cream can be added.
We serve with Jiffy cornbread made according to the package or supreme like in video.
