**ALL INGREDIENTS FOR THE BEEF PEPPER STEAK:**
**FOR THE BEEF MARINADE**
– 0.5 pound of beef
– 1 tbsp of light soy sauce [Pearl River Bridge Natural Brewed Light Soy Sauce: https://geni.us/wABlLXf]
– 1 tbsp of Chinese cooking wine [Shaohsing Rice Cooking Wine: https://geni.us/3hdHAM]
– some freshly ground pepper
– 1/4 tsp of baking soda.
– 1 tsp of cornstarch
**FOR THE PEPPER STEAK SAUCE**
– 1 tbsp of oyster sauce [1汤匙蚝油] [Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand oyster sauce: https://geni.us/P0u6]
– 1 tbsp of light soy sauce [1汤匙生抽]
– 2-3 tbsp of water [2-3汤匙水]
– 1 tsp of corn starch [1茶匙生粉]
– 1 tsp of sugar [1茶匙糖]
– 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper [1茶匙新鲜的黑胡椒]
– Some salt to taste. [一小撮盐]
**VEGETABLES FOR STIR FRY**
– some green and red pepper
– some onion slices
– 1 tbsp of minced garlic.
**HOW TO MAKE BEEF PEPPER STEAK STIR FRY**
-First, cut your beef into thin slices.
-Marinate it with 1 tbsp of light soy sauce and 1 tbsp of Chinese cooking wine, you can use regular rice wine too. Some freshly ground pepper, 1/4 tsp of baking soda, 1.5 tsp of corn starch
– Set your beef aside for at least 30 minutes. While waiting we can make the sauce.
– 1 tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tbsp of light soy sauce, 1/4 cup of water, 1 tsp of corn starch, 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper and some salt to taste. Because soy sauce already has a lot of sodium, don’t put a lot. Just a little pinch should be fine.
– For the vegetables, I prepared some green and red pepper cut into big chunks. Some onion and 1 tbsp of minced garlic.
– Heat up your wok on the highest level possible for 10 seconds and add about 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add in your beef. Let the beef fry for 15-20 seconds on each side. Keep turning IT every 15 seconds until the beef becomes brown. Take it out and set it aside.
– Add about 1 tbsp more oil into the same wok and throw in all your vegetables. Stir fry this for about 2 minutes.
– When you see the onion becoming transparent turn the heat to low. Add the beef back into the wok along with the sauce. Mix it quickly. Soon you will see the sauce getting thicker. Turn it off. Take it out and you are done.

Don't make this indoors if you own a fire alarm
I think its time for you to change your boring hairstyle.
you don't rinse out the baking soda ?
Love your recipes. They always come out amazing
You are absolutely amazing!!! I would love for you to cook for me!!! 😘
Tnx for the recipe! My dad used to make this when he was still alive and it's our favourite!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us.👍🏽
I’m from New York and now live in Sweden, so I miss good Chinese food. In these last three years I’ve been learning Chinese cooking and this channel has been one of the best. Now I don’t miss Chinese anymore because I learned all these wonderful recipes! Thank you!!!
Just tried it, and it's amazing! Had an amazing dinner. Thanks again 💜
i made this last night and was delicious, a huge hit ! … my wife even had a second serving.
thanks so much for sharing
cheers
This recipe is soooooo good! Can I marinate the beef overnight?
U r a super star……lovely video and i will do the dish immediately
谢谢你老师👩🏻🏫👩🏻🍳🤩
I made this last night and it was AWESOME! I've tried a few recipes over the years, mostly in the slow cooker, and nothing has been quite like the Chinese buffets that I visit.
This recipe was spot on, and better!! I had a 1LB, top round I believe it was, steak in my freezer. Due to the recipe only calling for half a pound I just doubled everything.
I did not have rice wine, nor could I find any at the store, so I used white whine (pinot grigio). I also don't have a wok, but this came together just fine in a large skillet.
Highly recommend!!! Wil be making this again for sure!!! Thank you!
How can I get your recipe written down. Your video is faster than I cook. Never the less it’s great. Thanks.
Is cornflour the same as cornstarch
Does sake work in place of the cooking wine and rice wine?
👍👍
Hey Mandy 🙂what cut of beef is the best for this dish? And may I ask, when you use Chinese Cooking Wine yours always looks clear in colour, is it Shaoxing Wine or Mirin or something else? xx
What was the cut of meat she said I couldn’t hear her?
Wow it's a firey pepper stake.
My mouth is watering.
But shame can't taste it.👋
What can we use as a substitution to the cooking wine?
Made this a few times so good all your recipes are easy to follow, easy to adjust to my family’s taste, thank u 😊
I love Chinese food. I LOVE IT!!!
I've made this recipe many times in the souped up wok and it never ceases to please my family. Love this channel!
Anyone knows which part of the beef is this ?
I prepared this recipe tonight and was greatly disappointed in the finished dish. A cardboard box has more flavor than this recipe does and I highly suggest you look elsewhere for a quality recipe. If this is a sample of her other recipes than she may be just another gold digger on YouTube. BEWARE!!!!!
I made this dish the other day, my husband and I both love it. It taste so much like the one they make at Chinese restaurants. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS! You teaching us how to cook.
I love that you don't use MSG in most Chinese cooking videos I've watched. I look for natural spices when cooking. Your channel is my safe haven. I love everything you prepare. I love I'm seeing. You are so adorable 🥰 ❤️
Can you do this in the crockpot?
What would be the measurements for using a crockpot?
I have been known, when I don't have steak or roast, to use hamburger meat. This is one of my favorites.
Just made this recipe today and IT WAS GREAT! This was the fifth recipe I made from this channel and I've been blown away at how wonderful each one tastes. This the BEST Chinese food cooking channel by a large margin
Made this last night………My wife loved it…….😊
All her recipes are fantastic 😋❤️
Yes, it was perfect!!🙌😍 I made it! My family loved it and can't stop eating my daughter said best in Chinese Steaks!
I don't eat pork and also don't use wine in our food, what would be the alternative to rice wine? Can I also later beef instead of pork will it change the taste of the recipe?
What can I use besides oyster sauce
Made this last night it was delicious! I improvised a bit adding some Shoaxing wine to the sauce as well as the marinade. Added a bit of Zucchini, Celery, and Green beans to the Peppers and Onions and a LOT of dried Chinese Chili Peppers. Next time I'll add some Sichuan Peppercorns for that great numbing taste!
Thank you for the baking soda tip about tenderizing the meat! I've always wondered what Chinese restaurants do to make their beef so tender.
AMAZING directions and receipe. My hubby loved it. The steal was tender. ❤ I am going to make many of your recipes.
