In this episode of Tasty Tuesday’s we’ll go through the steps in preparing the ultimate pepper choka, which is basically the Caribbean version of an extremely fiery pepper salsa. Chris of Caribbeanpot.com will use a traditional recipe and add some of his signature touches to give you an amazing pepper choka, with smoky flavors and deep heat. With roasted scotch bonnet, seven pot and ghost peppers, this will be extremely spicy, but with the inclusion of the cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced onions and roasted garlic, you’ll get sweet undertones.
Note: Use mature green peppers!
For this pepper choka (pepper salsa) you’ll need…
4 scotch bonnet peppers
2 chocolate seven pot peppers ( 7 pod)
2 ghost peppers (bhut jolokia)
5 cloves garlic
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
3 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 small red onion
1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
8-10 cherry tomatoes (optional)

Would have definitely roasted the tomatoes. Then again not sure even to add in.
I can't imagine anyone eating something you should wear gloves to prepare.
Chris, my buddies and I really enjoy all your content; from fiery Caribbean sunshine sauces, gourmet dishes, and just watching your passion and unique personality at work in the kitchen. Amazing videos and super inspirational! Keep up the incredible work!
Why not ripe peppers? don't they more flavor when ripe?

Of all Caribbean countries, trini food is the worst tasting. Fuck y'all.
D real trini stuff
Hey Chris ,. This is not a dish that the other ethnicities in Trinidad would typically make but its great to see that you appreciate Trinidad's Indian cuisine so much.
