Here’s how to make the perfect side dish with bell peppers!

INGREDIENTS
Ā 3 kg peppers (mix of red, green, yellow)
Ā Salt
Ā Oregano
Ā Olive oil
Ā 1 l vinegar
Ā 500ml white wine
Ā 500ml water
Ā 120 g capers
Ā Garlic
Ā
METHOD
Boil vinegar with wine, water, and salt.
Remove the stem and seeds from each bell pepper. Cut them into thin strips.
Add the bell pepper strips to the pot with the boiling wine mixture and cook for three minutes. Drain the peppers and dry them on kitchen paper and a kitchen cloth.
Place the peppers in a bowl, add capers, oregano, salt, and oil. Mix very well.
Crush a clove of garlic and place it in a glass jar, fill the jar with the peppers and top up with oil. Enjoy the peppers with bread.

Don't know if you review the comments on this recipe anymore, but it looks as tho you may have a very unfortunate typo. The recipe starts with "3 kg peppers". The video shows THREE peppers. It finally occurred to me, after washing and coring three kilograms of homegrown sweet peppers (that's a LOT of peppers!), what had happened. The K and L are right next to each other on the keyboard. Shouldn't it say "3 Lg peppers"? Thankfully I hadn't tried to start actually making this, and I needed to clean and core the peppers anyway.
Not really pickling though⦠whereās the vinegar?
How long will they keep?
