Chili recipe with habanero and bacon

Hot! Hot! Hot! Habanero chilies are some of the hottest in the world and Im using them in this chili recipe. Paula Deen says you dont need a recipe for chili, you make it any way you want. Here’s my version.

  2. This looks so good! I could definitely go for a bowl of this right now. Our weather has been terrible… snow, ice and now high winds and bitterly cold. This chili would really warm you up! Big thumbs up!

  3. @usafireandrescue tell me about it! Weve had a nasty snow storm here in montreal today, about 16 inches of snow! Thanks for the thumbs up and the nice comments. Those help to warm up too 😛

  4. @yeahyeah1821 definetely! it was my first idea but then I wanted to show off my new set of pots because theyre all nice and shiny still. Making it this way also looks sexier on camera 😉

  5. @PlatypusGuitar well I'll give this recipe a try! I'm from texas so we are famous for chile 🙂 yours still looks great though!!!!

  6. you done that very good. only thing i does not agree with is the treeblood. one dont put treeblood or sugar in the chili. one puts treblood on the pancapates.

    but still good.

  7. @Sodeggy the reason why I put sugar in this recipe is because it cuts the acidity of the tomato. Im french canadian and have lots of maple syrup (the real kind) here but does who dont can just use brown sugar

  8. absolute crap , no oregano use minced beef and loads of sugar , when reduced refrigerate overnight and reheat for best result

  9. My mouth was watering the entire time you were recording this, gave me some serious munchies, I should try this myself! <3

  10. Looks good. I'll have a go at that. I like a good chilli. I'll probably use minced beef though as I'm a lazy git. One thing to try is right at the end throw in a couple of chunks of very dark 80% chocolate. It adds a twist and nobody will guess what it is.

  11. I'm not sure about maple syrup (maybe it's good I have no idea, it just sounds odd), but the rest of it looks good. I would probably use like 6 habaneros and also throw in 6 chipotles and 6 new mexico/anaheim chilis as well.

  12. @Polaf3456 thx! I went through too much trouble with the shanks altough it was fucking delicious. I recommend ground beef ^^
