Classic Stuffed Peppers Recipe ~ Noreen’s Kitchen



Greetings! When I saw that peppers were on sale I decided that I would make some stuffed peppers for dinner. I have not made these in a good long time so they were a special treat!

This is also a great way to stretch your meal dollars. Make enough of the peppers and freeze some before you bake them, that way later in the month you will already have a casserole ready in the freezer. Just pop in a hot oven and bake for an hour and a half to two hours. Serve with a salad and some bread and dinner is done! A no brainer, for sure!

  2. Noreen thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I had recently been thinking of my mother’s recipe she made all the time and by accident I happen to come across it the other day I was so thrilled. Everything was just kind of wrote on there with no direction as to what to do L O L. I followed your guidelines for the measurements for the rice and seasoning. I did follow her direction with cutting the peppers in half and also instead of tomato sauce she used tomato soup with hers. Between the two of you they honestly tasted like I remembered them as a child. I even revamped and wrote on the recipe the stuff I took from your portion now I have the perfect meal. I enjoyed all that you and Rick bring to my home and share with me. I am a avid follower now thank you.

  3. Finally a recipe like my grandma made. Everyone else on YouTube is cooking the meat in advance and I don't recall my grandma ever cooking it first. She stuffed her peppers and cabbage raw. I'm about to make these today.

  4. I'm surprised she didn't put any cheese on the mix or at least on top? Maybe they don't like cheese or not lactose tolerate?

  5. Disappointed my rice still not cook after 1hr on 350 n extra 20mins on 400 now still not cook…I followed u exactly…

  7. I'm cooking them right now and I know they'll be great. I haven't made stuffed green pepper for 40 yrs. I miss them but I had forgotten my prior recipe and the last time I made them they were terrible: my son nearly cried. Thank you for sharing your gift Noreen
