5 of the Best Things to make in an Instant Pot
There are so many great foods to make in your Instant Pot. Today I’m going to be sharing with you 5 different ways to use your Instant Pot.
#1: Caramelized onions–2 onions cut into chunks, 1 Tbsp butter, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper. 8 minute pressure cook time with a quick release. Strain excess liquid.
#2: Quinoa–1 cup rinsed quinoa and 1.5 cups water. 1 minute cooking time with a 10 minute natural pressure release. Read the whole recipe here:
#3: Whole Chicken–1 whole chicken, 1 cup water, 1 bay leaf, 2 Tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp dried rosemary, 1 tsp dried sage, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, 1 Tbsp kosher salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder. 6 minute per pound (6 pound chicken will be 36 minutes) with a 10 minute natural pressure release.
#4: Dried beans–Quick soak method: add 1 pound of beans to Instant Pot. Add in 4 cups water. Bring to a boil on the saute setting. Once it is boiling cover the pot and set the pressure cook/manual button to 2 minutes. When time is up perform a quick release. Rinse and strain the beans, now they are “soaked.”
