The piman remind me of Spanish pimentos! Just a little larger! I would assume those could work as an acceptable-ish substitution too, might be easier to find….
I enjoy this recipe even thou i will never do it. My relationship with peppers is REALLY bad! I don´t like them at all. But The ladies of Japanese Cooking 101 is always a treat regardless of the recipe!
I love your channel! I moved to Japan in December and having recipe videos has been great because I can learn new dishes, plus everything in them is really easy to get now! I just walk two blocks and I’m at an actual Japanese market. Summer break starts soon so I have more time to cook I’ll have to try this one out. Thank you.
I guess that the name Piman has a Spanish/Portuguese origin from the word Pimiento. I love to know the history of dishes of any kitchen.. I think it’s interesting and it shows how the different peoples of the world have always influenced each other true the ages.
Hmm… on one hand I'm not a fan of non-spicy peppers, but on the other, it's hard to say no to something full of ground meat and smothered in savory sauce!

What about shishito peppers? Will they work? I can find them in my area.
Never told me how to make the sauce.

Fantastic this recipe, I like it very much
It's Japanese food. It looks delicious.
One thing I would like is that in other videos with boiling water is the amount of heat you should add, but anyway your videos are amazing
I saw this dish in one of the schinchan episodes where he just eating the meat and leaving the capsicums beside and getting scold by mixi. 😂😂
