Turkish Style Stuffed Peppers With Rice and Olive Oil Recipe – Baked Stuffed Peppers Recipe

Would you like to make stuffed colourful bell peppers with rice and olive oil in the cast iron pot in the oven or stove?

I filled a lot of peppers for a crowded group of guests in the video. However, the amounts I gave below and in the video are for 6 large peppers.
For this reason, the amounts I wrote and the amounts I used in the video did not match. 😊

Ingredients;

* 6 pieces of bell peppers
* 1 cup of rice
* 1 large onion
* 3-4 cloves of garlic
* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon hot chilli
* 1 teaspoon of red ground pepper
* 1 tablespoon of dried mint
* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon of salt
* 1 teaspoon of sugar
* 1 tablespoon of currants
* 1 tablespoon of pinenuts
* Some fresh mint
* Some fresh parsley
* A little more than 1 small cup of olive oil
* 2 tablespoons of ghee butter
* 1 cup of hot water

Instructions;

* Roast chopped onion and garlic slightly in ghee butter.
* Add pinenuts and currants after a while and fry a little more.
* Add Rice.
* Continue roasting.
* Add all spices and mix well.
* Add 1 cup of hot water and mix them.
* Close the lid of the cast iron pot and cook on low heat until it absorbs its water.
* Add finely chopped fresh mint, parsley and olive oil after the first temperature comes out and mix well.
* Fill all peppers with this mixture without pressing.
* Place the tomatoes on the peppers.
* Place the filled peppers in the cast iron pot.
* Pour some salt and olive oil over them.
* Add some water too.
* Close the lid of the pot.
* Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees or cook on medium heat for 45-50 minutes without opening the lid.
* After this time open the lid of the pot and bake the peppers in the oven for a while until they are slightly browned.
* If you wish in our peppers cooked on the stove, with the lid open, the peppers are baked in the oven until golden brown. (I baked one of the two pots in the oven and the other on the stove)
* Serve them cool.
