how to make stuffed peppers in the power air fryer oven

This is a quick and easy stuffed pepper recipe. This recipe will also serve as a power air fryer oven recipe review.
Stuffed peppers is another one of my favorite recipes to make which I now use the Power Air Fryer Oven to make in less time than my conventional oven. Either way this easy stuffed pepper recipe comes out perfectly in the regular oven or the power air fryer oven. I find that using bell peppers works best for this recipe as they can stand up much easier to stuffing and the cooking process than many other styles of peppers but this recipe can easily be adapted for smaller peppers. If you want to make it more exciting try using sweet chili peppers or if your real brave maybe a jalapeno pepper. Hope you enjoy this recipe, comment below if you use a different style of peppers or if you want to share your style of stuffed pepper recipe. See below for the recipe and cooking instructions.

Ingredients:

1 Box Chicken flavored stuffing mix
4 Medium Bell Peppers
1/4 cup diced smoked ham
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
salt
pepper
8 slices mozzarella
grated cheese
marinara sauce

Prepare stuffing mix according to the box instructions.
(Tip: replace water and butter with olive oil and chicken broth)

In a pan saute the mushrooms then add the diced ham or sausage meat and cook thoroughly season with some salt and pepper and maybe a little hot pepper if you like it spicy. Let this mixture cool.

Wash and Core out the bell peppers and clean the seeds and veins.

When stuffing mixture is cool mix ham/sausage and mushrooms with the boxed stuffing and mix well.

place one slice of the mozzarella or your favorite sliced cheese at the bottom of each pepper
then scoop the stuffing on top of the cheese and press firmly, next place another slice of the mozzarella cheese on top of the pepper and place into a ramekin or cake pan id making more than a couple at a time. Make sure that all the peppers are standing upright while cooking. Drizzle some olive oil on top of the peppers and place on oven rack.

Cooking Instructions:
Using the Power Air Fryer Oven: 350°F for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts and the pepper is slightly cooked.

Using a conventional oven: preheat the oven to 400°F then cook the peppers on the top rack for 15 minutes or until the cheese melts and the pepper is slightly cooked.

Allow the peppers to cool then slice them down the middle and add some of the marinara sauce and grated cheese and enjoy!

  2. You can cut a very thin slice off the bottom of the pepper so it stands upright. Thanks for the recipe!

  3. Do you have to cook the ground beef before you stuff them into the pepper or can I stuff them and cook them in the air fryer?
