Fred & Red’s in Joplin MO was one of the best restaurants in country. They closed but their legend lives on! We make it often and here is a video of our chili.
Cook time is 1 hour minimum (preferably longer).
The Ingredients:
5lb. ground beef, 73/27 mix is best
4 ounces Williams chili seasoning, about 3/4 cup
1 tbsp – Garlic powder
2 tbsp – Paprika
1 tbsp – Ground cumin
1 tbsp – Dried oregano
2 tbsp – Kosher salt
1 sleeve Saltine crackers
