Small Portion Recipe
5-10 slices bacon chopped and crisped
1/2 pound ground beef, browned
½ pound ground turkey, browned
1 skinny Portuguese sausage or 1 hot link, chopped, casing removed and crisped
1 – 14.5 ounce can stewed tomatoes (chopped/smushed)
1 – 28 ounce can diced tomatoes with juice
1 – 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 onion diced
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 carrot diced
2 stalks celery chopped
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 red bell pepper chopped
1 pinch crushed red pepper flake
1 package chili seasoning
¼ cup chili powder
1-1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon Tabasco
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cubes beef bouillon
¼ cup white wine
¼ cup beer
3 tablespoons bottled steak sauce
1-1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cilantro
1 tablespoon parsley
1 can kidney beans, drained (optional)
1 can pinto beans, drained, (optional)
