LANKAN CHILLI CHICKEN:
This is a absolute winner and really good with flat bread or rice.
However i must admit that this recipe is a twist of my own and the orginal dish is derived from beautiful india. Its a INDO-CHINESE dish that is loved by many.
My version however is a easy method and no sauces added, so its natural as it could get.
Ingredients:
800grms of chicken chopped into chunks.
01 big bombay or brown onion chopped.
02 tomatoes chopped.
01 inch ginger and 06 pods of garlic mashed together.
Different variety of green chillies and peppers (you can use one type too) use as much as you require without over crowding.
Red chilli flakes.
Coconut or Vegetable oil.
FOR THE MARINATION:
Chilli powder
pepper powder
Turmeric powder
Dark roasted curry powder (optional)
Corn starch or Tapioca flour.
Salt to taste.
