Burger Stand Chili

1lb 80/20 ground beef
2 tbs dark chili powder
2 tbs light chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup flour
1/2 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups water
2 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs onion powder
1tsp cumin
2tbs dark chili powder
2tbs light chili powder
Salt, to taste

Add chili powders and salt to ground beef and refrigerate overnight.

Add oil and beef to pot over medium-low heat. Stir well, about 2 minutes. Add flour to pot and stir consistently until beef is fully cooked and flour is browned, about 15 minutes.

Add onions and garlic. Continue to cook on medium low heat. Stir intermittently for about 10 minutes, until onions and garlic are tender.

Add water and remaining seasonings and stir well. Bring to simmer, then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
