Meatloaf stuffed bell peppers are a game changer! | Dinner Recipes



Today I’m taking meatloaf and stuffing bell peppers for a game-changing combination. This is gonna be good!

⭐️ STOVETOP BEEF CALDO

INGREDIENTS
4 large bell peppers
2 lbs ground beef or turkey
6 oz box of stuffing mix
1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
2 large eggs
1/4 cup ketchup
8 oz white cheddar cheese
9 x 13-inch baking dish
* bake at 375° F for 45 to 55 minutes
or until cooked through*

*SAUCE*
3/4 cup ketchup
2 to 3 Tbsp A1 steak sauce

  1. Bisto gravy granules are indeed from the UK, they offer a lower sodium version as well, which is pretty good.
    Growing up I thought I didn't like stuffed peppers but it turns out I don't like green bell peppers. As a child I only knew green peppers. Love yellow, orange, red though.
    These would be a great prepare ahead, bake later dinner. The stuffing mix has all the seasonings so no chopping etc… easy to put together.

  2. I like purple, yellow, Red orange peppers 👌🏼🙋🏻‍♀️🎉💯‼️🥰 add ground chicken and ground turkey. The only thing I'm concerned with is would the meat be fully cooked through.⚠️☣️🤯🤷🏼‍♀️ I think I would probably try to semi cook the meat because. I don't want to take any chance of it thoroughly through that's an issue I be thinking about but I love the ideal I think I'll try this this month. 👌🏼🥰😉

  4. That looks good! I too love Stove Top Stuffing as well as bell peppers. Tell me how the gravy was, I've never found an instant gravy I've liked and homemade is easy as long as you have homemade broth in the freezer. I think I would just buy sliced cheese to top them.

  5. This might make me try stuffed peppers again! A tip for the Bisto (because my English husband loves the stuff), add the water to the granules instead of the granules to the water. That way, you can control the consistency of the gravy. I always find the listed instructions make for a more runny gravy than preferred. I also season the gravy because it's a bit bland and needs a punch of flavour.

  6. I have been craving meatloaf this looks so good. I am making it. My mom would put bellpeppers an onions in her meatloaf an stewed tomatoes 🍅 on top.

  7. I had found a recipe in an old magazine for making meatloafs in muffin tins. I did that for about a year until I stopped using the muffin tin (too much work to scrub) and just started making meatballs. I use a box of cornbread stove top, one and a half pounds of ground beef, and a cup of water; mixed and baked at 350° for about 30 minutes. And I can't remember where I found or heard of the recipe for the glaze but it is a mixture of ketchup, Tabasco, ground comino, honey and Worcestershire sauce. As a matter of fact, I think I'll make that tomorrow. But I will definitely keep this recipe for the future
