How to Make Southern Cayenne Pepper Sauce



Homemade pepper sauce, it’s nearly as southern as cornbread and it is an absolute must once the greens start coming in.

equal parts water and white vinegar.
1 tsp of salt per cup of solution
heat and dissolve then pour over jarred peppers.
add onion, garlic or other aromatics if desired.
keep refrigerated if not properly canning and sealing.

  1. To keep peppers,… I use Pickle Crisp granules. It doesn't have a flavor, but it does keep things crispy, and crunchy. I have plenty, if you want some, in the future. #oneproudmom
