Directions to Make Habanero Jelly Recipe
1. Gather all ingredients to prepare
2. Chop up all habanero peppers and de-seed as many as you would like. (Note: Habanero peppers are hot so you may want to start with 1/2 deseeded to see if that is too hot for you
3. Add peppers and carrots to some type of blender and pulse until you get mini chunks of your pepper/carroty blend. Careful not to liquify too much, but enough to be specks.
4. Add vinegar to the pot and mix in all of the sugar, bring to a boil until sugar dissolves completely; about 5 mins
5. Add in habanero pepper slurry to the sugar/vinegar liquid and bring to boil; boil for 5-10 mins
6. Add in your pectin according to the directions on the packet
Bring back to boil for another 5 mins until pectin has dissolved
7. Ladle mixture into canning jars and process the jars to get your habanero pepper jelly

If you add 1 tbs butter when making your jelly it will help reduce the foam
Awesome video. We’re going to try this out.
I'm gonna try this out sounds good!
You have 5 cups of sugar twice. Is it 5 or 10?? We're going to make some of this with our garden habaneros this afternoon:)
If you are new to canning, a good tip is to write your dates on the jars (even on a piece of masking tape) so you know when they were made.
Incase they get mixed in with other batches, you can easily determine which ones you want to use first.
really nice job with this. instructions were easy to follow!
We planted peppers this year and we have more than we know what to do with!
Quick addition to the recipe. My mom said when the jelly is ready to be canned, or you think it is, get a cold saucer and place a drop of jelly on the saucer. If it stacks up when you push your finger through, it's ready. If it runs all over the place then it still needs a little time.
Ps: I made this and while I was stirring, my eyes started hurting. I had accidently left my contacts in and couldn't take them out since I had been handling habeneros, banana peppers and jalapeños. So I had my husband take the contacts out of my eyes. I've never seen him so grossed out. Lol
So I just tried you recipe when it's ready I'll let you know how it tastes and also I am new to canning so this is a great experiment for me fingers crossed🤞🔥🌶️
This is a really tasty recipe. I've made 2 batches so far. My first, didn't jelly up enough, however it made a wonder sauce… my second batch turned to jelly. This is good stuff right here. I brought the stuff that didn't quite set up to a family cook out… my dad and papaw canned all through my life… they loved it poured over chicken and steaks and burgers. So don't be disappointed if you don't quite get it to jelly up… it makes a wonderful steak sauce. Thus was my first time… now my second time… so I have habanero sauce and habanero jelly. It's all great. So don't be disappointed if it it doesn't quite jelly. It's a fantastic topping if you like hot and spicy stuff. . I clicked the like and notification bell.. Good stuff brother.
Did you keep the seeds in the habaneros or remove them? Thx
