You can also use a Turkey bag to brine
For a juicier turkey breast – Roast BREAST SIDE DOWN – you'll be floored!š
If you prefer a Turkey just for looks, like the old-timy photos of the family gathered around a breast up Turkey, instead of a Turkey you'll be using for the after dinner turkey sammaches – then go aheadš„ŗ
I brine and inject
Itās Thanksgiving- get to work B***
Great video!!! I'm smoking 2 turkeys this Saturday, and I'm adjusting my recipe from last year after watching. Briner/injector for life!!!
I brine and inject and talking bout that bird comes out leaking and full of flavor š¤¤
AB, Thanks for the video Iām a briner too! The first time I brined my turkey I said I will ALWAYS BRINE from now on! Love the content and the step by step instructions. Question what is the brand of the pot you are using? I like the design. šš¾ Keep making it do what it do!
Recipe says 2 cups salt. But video looks like 1 cup. Is that a typo or is it really 2 cups??? Need help
This dudes the realest guy on YouTube! Fire tips
Do you still seasoning the turkey after you take it out the brine ??
Happy Thanksgiving 2023

KANSAS CITY HOME OF BBQ!
EVER HEAR OF TAILGATERS AT A CHIEF'S GAME COOKING OUT.
My friends, Besides all the ingredients the type of liquid used is key. I tried water and then stock. They were okay and better. It wasnāt until I started using 100% beer that things went up another level. With the beer you still add all the typical things. The beer can be almost any type. Enjoy!
@kingkuda300
I made my first brine today! I added sour orange, clementines, a red onion, mustard seeds, all spice, fresh Bay leaves, black pepper, Swedish Pearl sugar, 15 garlic cloves, rosemary, thyme and salt. I've been adding Ice on the hour (no room in the fridge) and the house smells divine!
AB man ol man talking bout level up I brine and injected 1st time and itās a level up best thing Iāve had in my life.
This is your BEST video where you really explain everything and you're not using a turkey brine product that many can't find or afford. You told us all the ingredients we need. Just wish you'd say the actual measurements of the pot and the ingredients. But men don't usually focus on that stuff anyways.
Not to be too nerdy but you have to factor the water in the ice into your ratios for the brine. You can get varying degrees of salinity if you don't account for the water coming from the ice.
I would suggest just boil 5 cups of water. It is more than enough for dissolving one cup of salt, one cup of brown sugar and have enough liquid to boil for the flavors from the herbs. After that, I just add a bit of faucet water to pod so it cools down the boiled water. I then add the brine water to the bucket. Fill in more faucet water, add the bird, and then top it with some ice. By doing this, I don't need to lift a big pod and pour over the bird and bucket. Save a lot of energy and less chance for mess.
For the ones argue that boiled water is better. Ice is faucet water. So it is just moot point to boil so much water.
Let me tell y'all something!!! I followed these exact instructions and I will NEVER and I mean NEVER do it any other way, THE BEST turkey I ever had! It was juicy as h3llš I will never go back to injection, I will brine everything I can from now on, thanks AB
Super random…..You look like someone's cool uncle seriously. I know you give good uncle hugs
Talking Turkey is just what I need.ššYumm'O."
šļø…
You might want to correct the written recipe on your website it says 2cups of kosher salt but in the video you only use one cup
53 yrs old and never brined a turkey because I thought it would make it salty. This thanksgiving I followed your recipe and the turkey was absolutely outstanding. Best turkey Iāve ever done and everyone raved about it. Thank you! Canāt wait to view more of your content.
Weird question but that zip bag is a 5 gallon rite?
