  1. Why the corn meal? The flour is to thicken, but I’ve never used corn meal in my gravy. Also I make my cornbread using corn meal and flour. Was corn meal MIX something your granny would have used?
Thank you and I pray you have a blessed Thanksgiving.

  2. We've had two Thanksgiving already lol. Ten days ago when my Mom and sisters were here at my daughter's house, and last Saturday at Friends giving at…you guessed it… A friend's house. So on the real T day it'll just be hubs me and our son. Since its small my husband just got a turkey breast. But don't you know I made a whole turkey yesterday so I could make broth for gravy. This is our first four turkey dinners in 2weeks. But I love it because I can try some of Danny's dressings.😘😘😘

  3. Oh my goodness ❤. That is my mother’s/grandmother’s and I never have had it in print 🙏🙏💗 thank you

  4. I have a huge container that I store the dressing mixture in, overnight then a good blending before putting in my roaster

  5. That Crockpot Turkey dinner is GENIUS! Will definitely make it. Love love love! Thank u and HTG 🍁🦃

  6. Thank you Mrs.Tammy! My mama watched you ALOT, she passed in September and your mamas dressing is exactly how she made it besides the bread added. It’s my job this year to make it and I couldn’t for the life of me remember the steps even though I made it last year, which she was alive then to help if I had questions. So thank you, and Thursday I hope I make her proud!

  7. My bread: SR flour, SR cornmeal mix, eggs, oil, buttermilk together to have my bread-1/2 Biscuit, 1/2 Cornbread. Chip it up real good. 13X9.
Then raw & boiled eggs, poultry seasoning only, broth, no celery, add onion, cream of Ch soup,
Enough broth until it’ll pour like cake batter-pour out by itself with a little help w a spoon. (I had a hard time learning how thick/thin it should be)

I like your shortcut, I’ll try it tomorrow! Looks great! 💖
    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  8. I make my dressing the same way your Granny did except I always sauté my celery and onions ( I don’t like them crunchy). I was taught how to make it from my grandmother 60 years ago. I don’t think I would like chicken in my dressing unless it was a main course along with some veggies as a side. All your recipes look delicious Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family ❤️

  9. Each cook and region does things differently. I don't know anyone who uses anything except cornbread in their dressing. Yes, I am an old lady born and raised in South Carolina. I remember back in the 50s seeing my mom stuff the turkey and cook it in the wood stove oven. I still make my dressing the same way (no biscuits or white bread or crackers).

  10. My Mom made giblet dressing and her grandma and me. Who knows how many generation. I figure at the very least so far has to be 122 years or more.

  11. I make my dressing just like your Granny. I am 78 years old and my granny made it the same way. I love the old recipes. My grandchildren are 17 year old twins and they would be so disappointed if we didn't cook the way they are used to. Love traditions!! Love watching you and your recipes

  12. Tammy I love your channel and all your tips and stories I just reached 1K subscribers on my little channel and I’m so excited I’ve been following you, Farming Pastors wife and Brenda Gant for years and got my motivation from y’all when my granddaughter suggested I start a YouTube channel it was just a way to keep up with my recipes for family but I really enjoy it.
    Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 ❤

  13. I've found making my dressing up and letting it sit in fridge overnight before baking, seems to make it more flavorful.
