Spiced Beef and Lamb Chili
8 tablespoons Grass-Fed Butter
2 pounds of grass-fed ground beef @aldiusa
2 pounds of ground lamb @aldiusa
1 cup chopped onion
7 organic carrots sliced
5 celery sticks, chopped
6 cloves garlic, chopped
2 jars of Tomato Basil Marinara @aldiusa
2 cups homemade bone broth
2 tablespoons chili powder
3 teaspoons dried oregano
3-4 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1-2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Toppings- @kerrygoldusa or mild cheddar cheese, salsa, and avocado slices
1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and lamb and cook, stirring, until browned with no pink spots, about 10 minutes.
2. Drain off excess fat. Add the remaining ingredients except for the garnishes, bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are softened, about 30 minutes.
Serve with grated cheese, salsa, and avocado.
Original Recipe from the Nourishing Broth cookbook. I typed up what we used; both recipes are fantastic! Enjoy!
