Hey guys thanks for stopping in today I’m gonna make some chili in the crock-pot so let’s get cracking I always going to use some beef bullion cubes for this and then I realized I didn’t have any so I was gonna go with chicken bullion cubes and now I thought wait a

Minute I have a box of bison broth in the cupboard maybe I’ll try that so you know what bison is buffalo so I put a quart of this Bison broth in the bottom of the crock pot there so I know most people won’t have bison so just use beef

Broth or chicken broth or you know beef or chicken bullion cubes that’s what I usually use so that’s one quart of liquid there and then this is a 24 ounce can of pasta sauce I’m going to add that in alright and one onion that I already

Cut up okay and this is too bit too bell peppers a red one and a yellow one but you can use any color you like I kind of like the sweet ones better than the green ones all right what else here they have that I’m going to add a little bit

Of Worcestershire sauce that goes well with beef so maybe a splash half a teaspoon or so and then a little bit of chili mix this is a this has chili powder cumin garlic powder onion powder cayenne pepper a bunch of stuff and it might my neighbor the Sonoma spice Queen

Makes this alright I’m just gonna sprinkle a little in there like that and just start with that later on I’ll taste it and if it needs more I’ll add more you can always that more of stuff but you can’t take it out if you overdo it

So do that and this is for the meat I’m using ground beef this is the 93% lean ground beef so you can see it’s not much fat and so you know it won’t be a bunch of fat to drain out I guess you could Brown it

If you wanted to but I’m not going to I’m just gonna put in like that kind of mix it all up let’s see I think that’s everything for now I’m going to put beans on this as well but I’m gonna let this kind of cook for a while first so I

Don’t overcook the beans all right I think that looks pretty good I’m gonna cook this on high so get the lid on there and when this is looks like it’s cooked pretty well we’ll come back and put the beans in there and also at that time I’ll taste it and I may have

To add more seasoning to it so we’ll be back later on this has been cooking on high for three and a half hours and it looks pretty good if you’re cooking on low you probably cook it about twice that long but to me it needs to be a

Little sweeter so I’m gonna start off adding two tablespoons of sugar to that and I’ll just mix that in now taste it and just keep adding as much sugar as I need till it’s the way I want it I had a three tablespoons of sugar and that

Tastes pretty good to me now I’m gonna do the same thing with hot sauce just add a little at a time and keep chasing it that’ll give it a little heat and also a little Tang eNOS from the vinegar okay I got as much hot sauce as I want

In there now I’m going to add the beans this is three 15 ounce cans of red kidney beans that are rinsed get that mixed up and then we’ll just let this simmer for a little bit and I’ll grab a bowl and we’ll try it out okay my beans

Have been in there for about an hour so let’s take a look at this cook total cooking times been about five hours I think that looks good so let’s put some in a bowl and see how it tastes okay let’s see how my crock-pot chili turned out looks pretty darn good turned

Out really good it’s not a spicy chili it’s more tangy I’m not too into spicy but you could spice it up if you used you know hotter peppers or you know whatever you want anyway hope you give that a try you guys thanks for watching and I’ll talk to you next time

  3. Great looking chili Jim, perfect to eat during all these storms we are having. A "BIG" thumbs up 🙂 When do you have to move by? Have a great weekend, we are getting a little break from the rain right now 🙂 ROCK ON!!!!!!!

  4. Jim, I never saw bison broth for sale! Amazing!! I guess you have to be out west to find it. I'm crazy about chili! Yours looks fantastic! I wouldn't change a thing, except maybe I'd use artificial sweetener. LOL! Your bowl looked like a masterpiece, especially with the sour cream topping! MMMM!!!!

  5. Looking good with them Crockpot recipes brother. Funny I just got the same exact crockpot a few days ago lol. Time to crank out the crock pot recipes again. Set it and forget it.

  6. Yummy. I used to make a very basic chilli when I was in college. If you add about a tbsp of cocoa powder, it gives it a really rich taste and it doesn't taste like chocolate. Just another layer of flavour and no one has any idea what it is, but it is good.

  7. Jim,looks good buddy, got referred by the Wolfe pit, thought I'd check out your channel, always looking for easy cooking tips,I'll have to try this

  8. Great video thanks for. Hey I tried your meatballs in the crock pot today. I made meatball subs. They were great. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Maybe I can keep my son out of the sub shop now, lol

  9. Thats some tasty looking chili! I actually made a crockpot chili friday night for me to have for meals over the weekend.I work long shifts in a freezer sat-mon. Mine had 2 cans of spicy chipolte chili sauce that my wife found at the discount store, 2 cans of kidney beans, a green pepper chopped up, some left over frozen corn kernels, and some lean ground turkey. It was pretty good, but the turkey kind of disintegrated, I normally prefer chunks of meat so I thiink I'll cut up some cheap steak or chicken next time. Great work with the videos and keep them coming!

  10. Did you have to buy a license to be allowed to call that mess chili? Sugar and pasta sauce ???? ROTFLMAO

  11. I love this recipe but I enjoy that you were playing the Entertainer in the background that is my favorite song on a piano besides you know classical but that you actually used raw meat that is lean and you cooked it in the slow cooker perfect thank you I can't find enough recipes that give me raw lean ground beef that I can cook in the crock pot so it's all in one pot I appreciate you💖
