I Tried Making Mushroom Pasta from The Super Mario Bros Movie. Can I do it?

✨Recipe:
ingredients:
– 12oz linguine pasta
– 1 pack of white whole mushrooms (about 8oz), sliced
– 1 clove garlic
– 1 tbls olive oil
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 – 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese (add as you go)
– 1 cup pasta water
– 2tbls parsley
– salt & pepper
– optional: chili flakes

Prep:
1. Boil your pasta according to package (I add 1tbls of olive oil to the water to help them not stick together)
2. While pasta is boiling, add olive oil to a pan with garlic on medium heat (be sure not to burn the garlic). Add in chili flakes and let cook for about 1 minute.
3. add in your sliced mushrooms. Sautee, adding a very small amount of pasta water. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until the mushrooms are brown
4. Remove mushrooms from pan, add in heavy cream and continue mixing on low heat, adding in shredded parmesan, until sauce gets thick but still liquidy
5. Add in your drained noodles, coat with the cheese sauce generously. Add in sauteed mushrooms and parsley, season with pepper and salt.
6. Keep adding in a small amount of pasta water to help the consistency stay creamy. Serve immediately and enjoy 😉

I tried making the creamy mushroom pasta dish from the Super Mario Bros movie but since there’s no official recipe I tried figuring it out based on my findings in the film I was feeling pretty confident on the ingredients I chose and then I started cooking whoops but when I went to sauté

The mushrooms I should have expected they’d start sticking to the pan Which gave me an idea pouring a little pasta water into the mix did the trick lastly I crafted a cheese sauce that I believe would complete this mushroomy goodness but how does this actually taste oh yeah

I’ll be making this for weeks

  1. I watched this multiple times and today I watched Wall-E for my first time and I just spotted that little Eve cup also I watched the super Mario Bros movie it was amazing and I might try your recipe even though I don't really like mushrooms
