The Best Homemade Turkey Chili Recipe!
If I were to tell you that this is the best turkey chili I’ve ever made and tasted, I wouldn’t be exaggerating! It’s truly THAT good! I’ve had the pleasure of cooking it for my family multiple times this month, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you!😍Ingredients:- 1 lb ground turkey- 1 can of garbanzo beans (15.5 oz)- 1 can of black beans (15 oz)- 1 can of pinto beans (15.5 oz)- 1 can of sweet corn (15 oz)- 1 large onion, chopped- 32 oz broth (946 ml), preferably chicken- 1 large can of fire-roasted crushed tomatoes (28 oz or 794 g)- 1 small can of fire-roasted crushed tomatoes (14.05 oz or 411 g)Spices:- 1 tsp paprika- 1 tsp smoked paprika- 1 ½ tsp cumin- 1 tsp garlic powder- 3 bay leaves- Salt and pepper, to tasteDirections:1. Rinse and drain all the beans and corn. Begin by adding olive oil to a pot and then adding the chopped onion. Cook over low heat with the lid on, stirring occasionally, until the onion turns golden.2. Add the ground turkey to the pot with the onion. Turn the heat to medium-high and cook for 5-7 minutes. While cooking, stir and mash up the turkey with a spatula.3. Next, add in the fire-roasted tomatoes into the pot. Simmer over medium heat with the lid on for 15 minutes. 4. Stir the chili and add the remaining ingredients: the black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, sweet corn, bay leaves, spices, and broth. 5. Bring the chili to a boil, then lower the heat to medium-low. Allow the chili to cook for an additional 20-25 minutes with the lid on.Serve the chili over rice and garnish with sour cream and fresh herbs. Enjoy!
