Hello this is Kareem from shakes bakes and right now we’re gonna talk about how to jar hot peppers first we have our jar a third of a red pepper one sliced banana pepper one sliced jalapeno pepper half of an onion a large onion one cup of apple cider vinegar one cup of white
Vinegar three cloves of garlic and 1 diced serrano pepper in addition to that we have our saucepan it’s a medium size and we have a stockpot that’s pretty large so that we can put our jar in at the end so first things first we’re going to add our peppers to our saucepan
Make sure you get it all out and I’m going to go ahead and now add my onion and garlic and my two vinegars time to go over to my stove top our mixture has been simmering on low heat for five minutes at this point we’re
Gonna go ahead and fill our jar get a ladle some of these peppers in here be careful not to burn yourself mix just hot you want to take out the onions and peppers first and then you want to pour the liquid on top of it see if I can get
This and pour it right in oh I have just enough look at that beautiful so just a tip from whenever you’re jarring anything in a in a water bath you want to leave a little bit of room at the top don’t fill it all the way up before you
Let it another thing you can do is tap it to make sure any air bubbles are out and I’m gonna put it in my water bath now this water bath is very hot but it’s not boiling I’m gonna use some tongs to help me get it in there without burning myself
And make sure it’s covered just over the top of it I’m going to turn on the flame gonna get this boiling and after it’s boiling it should continue for five minutes before I turn off my flame at this point our pot has been boiling for about five minutes I’m gonna turn off my
Heat I’m gonna take my jar put it on the counter as you can see I’m wearing a safe heat proof glove in this hand to help me along I’m Kareem from shakes bakes and this is how you jar hot peppers
