Fijita Crumbed Samosa
Ingredients for filling:
K&N’s Fajita Topping as required
Onion (chopped) 1/4 cup
Capsicum (chopped) 1/2 cup
Yellow bell pepper (chopped) 1/4 cup
Red bell pepper (chopped) 1/4 cup
Green chilies (chopped) 2 tbsp
Chili sauce 1 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ingredients for assembling:
Samosa patti 1 pack
Eggs (beaten) 2
Bread crumbs as required
All-purpose flour (mixed in water) 2 tbsp
Oil for frying
Ingredients for sweet & sour sauce:
Sugar 1/4 cup
Garlic (chopped) 1 tsp
Ginger (chopped) 1 tsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp
Water 1/4 cup
Ketchup 2 tsp
Slurry (cornstarch + water) 2 tbsp
Directions for filling:
1. In a pan heat oil, add onion and sauté for a minute.
2. Then add capsicum, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, green chilies, chili sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes.
3. Add K&N’s Fajita topping in it and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Your filling is ready. Set aside.
Directions for sauce:
1. In a pan add sugar, garlic, ginger, red chili flakes, salt, apple cider vinegar, water and ketchup.
2. Cook for at least 5 minutes, then add slurry and cook for another 2 minutes and whisk well.
Assembling:
1. Take a samosa Patti (sheet) and fold it by using flour mixture to the corner.
2. Now fill it with prepared K&N’s Fajita topping and close the edge using flour mix.
3. Now firstly dip the samosas in flour batter and then coat with bread crumbs.
4. Heat oil in a pan and fry samosas until light golden brown.
5. Serve your tasty crumbed fajita samosas with sauce and enjoy.
