Easy Pickle Pepper Recipe

Just a quick and easy recipe that I found on the internet that I use to pickle my banana and jalapeno peppers from the garden.

peppers
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cup vinegar
4 teaspoons salt
3-6 cloves garlic, sliced lengthwise

combine water, vinegar and salt. bring to boil.
place peppers and garlic in warm jar.
add liquid.
place lid and ring on jar.
lid should seal (pop) withing 1/2 hour – 3 hours. if lid does not seal, can repeat process or just refrigerate and use within 1-2 weeks.
once lid has sealed, let jar sit on counter for 24 hours then place in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
enjoy

  1. The recipe said to keep them in the fridge for 2 weeks. I hadn't had a jar last that long until now. I do have the jar from the video, and it has been in the fridge for 3 weeks now. I just opened it and they are REALLY good! It was still sealed, and I would think that as long as the jar is sealed, it should last a few months, if not a year. If the jar isn't sealed, then I would probably try to use them up within a few weeks.

  2. After doing a bit of research on pickling peppers, using my very limited culinary discernment, I've narrowed down my search to two complimenting recipes that confirm a solid result and yours is one. Thank you for the simple but very well made video!

  3. Thanks for watching and for the kind words. Everyone who has tried the peppers have liked them. Hope you do too!

  4. Awesome video, thanks! Someone I work with has a huge garden and brings tons of peppers in for people to take and I finally decided to do a little bit of pickling. Your video really helped me out and they turned out great =D
