Noodles:
2x 5 oz dry Noodles of choice, we used Chinese Wide Wavy Noodles also known as Sliced Noodles or Knife Cut Noodles
Basil and Garlic Oil:
1 cup Thai Basil Leaves, roughly chopped
2 Red Thai Chilies, finely diced
2 tbsp. Garlic, minced
1 Large Shallots, finely diced
1-2 Green Onions, diced
2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
2 tbsp. Dark Soy Sauce
1 tsp. Black Vinegar
1-2 tsp. Roasted Sesame Oil
1 tsp Sugar (optional)
1 tbsp. Gochugaru
2-3 tbsp. Neutral Cooking Oil
1 tsp. Lime Juice
Sesame Seeds
Optional Garnish:
Chili Crisp
Green Onions
Sesame seeds
Directions:
1. Boil water, and cook the noodles to package instructions.
2. In a large mixing bowl, add the Thai basil, Thai chilies, garlic, shallots, half of the green onions, and Gochugaru.
3. In a pan over medium low heat, add the oil, and allow it to heat up. Add a piece of garlic, if the garlic begins to sizzle, the oil temperature is ready and remove it from heat.
4. Gently pour the hot oil over the ingredients in the mixing bowl, and to it add the light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, black vinegar, roasted sesame oil, and sugar (optional). Combine all the ingredients and then add the noodles and sesame seeds. Stir all the ingredients until the noodles are coated.
5. Serve and enjoy 🙂

world whenever we’re in the mood for a
quick meal we skip the fast food and
make these chili garlic noodles instead
they only take about 15 to 20 minutes to
make and are way better than takeout
these noodles hit the spot any meal of
the day but from my experience they’re
best enjoyed as a midnight snack so
let’s get started we’ll start by
bringing a pot of water to boil and to
it add salt to help season the noodles
then we’ll add the these knife cut wavy
noodles you can use any noodles you want
we just prefer these for their texture
and chewi they take about 6 minutes to
be done we just want to take a moment to
thank you all for your comments and
support we really appreciate it it
encourages us and helps us to improve
and grow after 6 minutes we’ll remove
the noodles from the water and strain
them we won’t rinse them but a little
oil to keep them separated might not be
a bad idea along with the noodles we
have some bok choy we’ll toss them in
the water and blanch them for about 30
seconds we’re always looking to add a
splash of vibrant green on our plate
delicious and good for
you then we’ll strain those and set
aside with the

noodles to go along with the noodles
we’ll use what we have in the
refrigerator here we have a cup of
fragrant High basil that will just
roughly chop these add a nice fragrance
and color to the dish you can tear these
up by your hand as
well then we’ll chop a couple of thi
chilies for a nice bit of fresh heat
we’ll chop them finely to avoid biting
into a larger piece that can overpower
the pallet here’s a little hack for you
chili files out there these chilies come
in a bunch and we can’t use them all at
once so we store them in the freezer and
use them as needed next we’ll Minch some
garlic it is chili garlic noodle after
all just a smash with the side of the
Cleaver and the rocking choc gets it
done we’ll also add some shallots since
we’re not going to cook the shallots
we’ll chop them very finely or brunoa
the finest of cuts shallots are pretty
pungent kind of like concentrated onions
the finer cut helps to combat the
pungency if a shallot had a DJ name what
would it be called Sir MX
shalot now to a large mixing bowl We’ll
add our Thai Basil and the shallots
next the
garlic and then the Thai chilies
followed by a tablespoon of red pepper
powder or goou garu this is mild to
medium spicy and it lends a beautiful
red color to the noodles setting the
bowl aside in a small pan over medium
low heat We’ll add 2 to 3 tblsp of
cooking oil and allow it to heat
up to check the temperature we throw in
a little piece of garlic if the garlic
dances we’re ready to
party then we’ll gently pour the oil
onto the ingredients in our Bowl
basically making an oil
infusion but wait there’s more to it
we’ll add 2 tbsp of light soy sauce for
savoriness you can also replace it with
tamari 2 tbspoon of dark soy sauce for
color and a bit of
sweetness 1 teaspoon of black vinegar
for a complex sour flavor
1 to two teaspoons of roasted sesame oil
for fragrance and a deep nutty
flavor and some fresh lime juice for a
bright punch of
flavor then we’ll give it a
mix now to the Bowl We’ll add the
noodles along with some green
onions and sesame seeds for some crunch
you can add roasted peanuts as well then
using tongs or
Chopsticks we’ll mix everything
thoroughly to coat all the noodles feel
free to add a pinch of sugar to this as
well to round out the flavors we didn’t
because the dark soy sauce already has a
little bit of sweetness to it which
works perfectly
well there these noodles are ready to be
served oh man these noodles look and
smell amazing I can’t wait to dig in
