[Music] hi everybody welcome back to my channel to suzanna’s Kitchen hope everyone’s really well tonight I’m making a little bit of a different recipe for me cuz I don’t often use steak and this is a pressure cooked Chinese steak and it’s delicious it’s got so much flavor we’re adding soy sauce adding Ginger just it’s got bags of flavor you can serve it with whatever you like I tend to choose rice with this type of recipe and I’m just going to do my rice separate so whether you boil it on the hob make microwave rice or you can even do some in the Ninja to start with but it is just the steak recipe that I’m making in the Ninja foodie this evening the other thing you could serve with this would be some noodles or maybe even like a little stir fry so there’s loads of different ways that you can eat this and it is super tasty pretty healthy as well and of course it is quick because we’re going under pressure it doesn’t take very long at all so let’s get started with my recipe so I’ve got my pot in the Ninja foodie and I’m adding to that a steak so I’ve sliced this up into strips it’s not too thin but I’ve got um enough here for two people there you go let’s get that in just spread that out looks absolutely delici delicious this is rump steak that I’m using now you want some black pepper on this lots of black pepper is good in this kind of recipe so I’m using about a quarter of a teaspoon I would say and around A4 of a teaspoon of salt I’m using some ground ginger and I want a good healthy quarter of a teaspoon of that the same again with some garlic granules and a tablespoon here of soy sauce so delicious lovely and then a half teaspoon of brown sugar there you go if you’re new here don’t forget to subscribe to my channel I make all ninja foodie recipes if there’s something you’re interested in then remember to hit that subscribe button below and give me a like as as well if you do like this recipe now we need some beef stock and I love these little stock pots I think they’re so good I’ve got 250 milliliters of hot water here so I’m just going to sort of semi- disolve this I’m never too worried if it’s completely dissolved or not and as you know to come to pressure you do need a minimum of 250 milliliters let’s give that a good stir lovely and now let’s pour that over the beef oh this looks great it smells really nice as well now I’m not going to add any veg in at this stage because it’s just going to disintegrate so we’re going to do this in two stages something that I’ve not shown you before but I think it’s quite useful to know how to do it now one of the interesting things here is I’m going to give you two options on this stage as well so let’s start by putting the lid down the pressure valve needs to be on seal at the top there so just make sure that you have done that cuz if not you’re not going to come to pressure and let’s slide over to the pressure cook options now here are your couple of options with cooking your beef and it really depends how you want your beef to be so we’re going to do it on high for 10 minutes either way but it’s the release that’s going to make the difference so if you want your beef to hold together be a bit more firm then I would go with a quick release even though this is meat but if like me you want it a little bit more tender a little bit more fall apart then go with a natural release and that’s what I’m going to opt for today but you’ve got the choice there so let’s Press Start shouldn’t take too long to come up to pressure because we did use that hot water in there and there’s not a great deal in the pot either so it should be fairly fast then we got 10 minutes and then we’re going to allow it to Natural release and I will be back so I’m just waiting on the natural release now so we’ve nearly up to 3 minutes so we’ll see how long that actually takes as I said it didn’t really didn’t take very long to come up to pressure which is great next stage is going to be to add in some onion so I’ve got some diced onion here I’ve also got some chunky pieces of red pepper to put in just because I think think onions and peppers work really nice with these sort of chinesey flavors and then I have just mixed up some cornflour in some water here and this is going to be used to thicken the sauce one of the really nice things about putting everything in one pot with your sauce is that you’re not adding any additional calories with the sauce so this actually comes in at around 200 calories per portion plus obviously whatever you put with it with your rice and that I don’t know if you just heard that beep I think we may have finished with the natural release look at that we have finished just over the 10 minute Mark that was let’s slide across and open up oh my goodness that smells absolutely stunning can’t wait for this right let’s get in our veg so straight in with the onion and then sprinkle over your red pepper you can use any color pepper you like or mixed ones and then we’re actually going to put this under pressure again so let’s get the lid down keep the hea in press stop just to stop the first pressure cook session that we did slide over to pressure cook again we want a quick release this time because we just want that veg to cook very fast and we’re just going to do a minute under pressure on high because of the heat in the pot I really don’t think this is going to take long to build up to pressure and then with’ more or less got our dinner bit of corn flour in the sauce some rice to serve it with it smells so nice I can’t tell you how good this smells I really cannot wait to eat this I think that beef is going to be so tender and that is how I love my beef I decided to do it this way because I think if you put the peppers and the onions in with the beef it’s really gonna more or less disintegrate and not be that nice whereas I think doing it this way yes it does take a little bit longer but you’re just keeping a bit more of that texture and at the end of the day we’re still cooking it in one pot so it’s pretty quick I’m going to show you the rice actually that I’m going to use tonight I’m using a microwave Rice I need a bit of a cheat it’s been a really busy day so fast meals is what I’m all about so this is the one that I’ve gone for we’ve not had this one before but it’s like a a steamed rice clearly it’s going to be a little bit spicy which I think is going to be nice and sticky which I think is going to be lovely with the beef it came up to pressure really fast we had the minute and now I’m just waiting for the rest of that pressure to release from the pot we are almost there should beep at me any second now to open up there you go there’s the beep let’s open up brilliant whoa look at this so I’m going to press stop that’s stopping the pressure cook mode that we were on now I’m just going to give this a little mix and I’m going to put this onto s and sauté oh this looks gorgeous now let’s add in our cornflour mix around a tablespoon of corn flour and as we sear and sauté that should just thicken that sauce up beautifully for grass now you can definitely make this for four people six people just increase the quantities that I have given you to make that work Cornflower really is Magic that literally has taken no time at all and that’s thickened up lovely while I serve up my rice I’m just going to leave that I mean this this takes minutes and it’s going to be just right to serve dinner is ready look how delicious this beef is the rice looks pretty tasty as well and the sauce thickened so easily really happy with this let’s just test a little bit of this beef yes look how lovely and tender this is it literally falls apart that is gorgeous if you don’t like yours like that remember you can do yours on a quick release instead I hope you like the video give me a like and don’t forget to subscribe I’ll see you next time thanks for watching

  1. Will try this thx . I may have to double the ingredients as I think our eyes are bigger than our bellies in our house 😂😂😂

  2. Wow, that looks so quick and easy. I can’t believe another recipe that gives me the confidence to use the pressure cooker! Thanks Susanna!

  3. You’re quickly becoming my ‘go to’ guide on all things Ninja because I like your clear presentational style and variety. My wife passed away towards the end of last year so I found myself on a steep learning curve on how to fend for myself and those Ninjas are a Godsend for somebody in my position. I currently have the MultiCooker, a Ninja Air Fryer and a Cosori Air Fryer and often have them all on the go at the same time! I’m looking forward to trying out this recipe this afternoon – it looks right up my street! Keep up the good work and I hope your channel goes from strength to strength. 😊

  4. Try arrowroot instead of cornflour if you want a super glossy finish
PS how about signing your first 50 books ??
