This is my first air fried recipe with chicken wings. I often think frying food at home is not so practical since a lot of oil is needed. Air frying is a great alternative to fry at home and still make the wings so crispy and tender inside. If you don’t have Sichuan pepper powder, please go ahead use ground black pepper only. Enjoy!

Written recipe for Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb chicken wings
salt
ground black pepper
Sichuan pepper powder
chili powder
sugar (optional)
Shaoxing cooking wine (optional)
light soy sauce
ginger slices
green onion white parts
all-purpose flour
Preparation:
1. After rinsing the wings, soak in salted water about 10 to 15 minutes.
2. Take the wings out of the water and pad dry with paper towels.
3. In a bowl, season the wings with salt, light soy sauce, ground black pepper, Sichuan pepper powder, ginger slices, white parts of green onions, and cooking wine. Mix well. Marinate about 10 to 15 minutes or a few hours if time allows.
4. Take the wings out onto paper towels to dry. Add 2 tablespoon flour to coat.
5. To make the mix, mix 1/2 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon Sichuan pepper powder, 1 tablespoon ground black pepper, 1/2 tablespoon chili powder, and 1 teaspoon sugar (the leftover mix can be saved).
Air fry;
1. Brush or spray the basket with a bit oil, place wings in it.
2. Turn the temperature to 375°, and set the time to 15 to 20 minutes (even better frying them in two batches).
3. In the middle of frying, move the wings around to fry evenly.
4. After about 20 minutes, the wings are ready. Sprinkle the mix to the wings and toss. Serve!

hi everyone don’t we love chicken wings they are always crowd pleasers and great appetizers I have a few recipes for chicken wings from soy chicken wings to honey chicken wings today I’m going to make salt and pepper chicken wings in an air fryer this is my first air fryer recipe hope you will like it let’s get started I have one and half pound of chicken wings this is chicken flats basically the middle part of the chicken wings and I already rinsed them quickly just need to add some salt in the water and soak them for about uh 10 to 15 minutes this way we get rid of the blood and make the chicken wings even more tender after about 10 minutes we’re ready to take out the chicken wings they’re pretty clean onto paper towels to dry now we put in the bowl to marinate now we just add some salt light soy sauce and some of my viewers always ask why we use both soy and salt to season cuz they’re different right so soy sauce is more for flavor and then ground black pepper Sichuan Pepper powder and I have ginger slices also white part of green onions sliced if you have cooking wine add some cooking wine if you don’t have it you may add chicken stock or dry sherry or as some of you suggested even lemon juice will be fine so just mix them and we’re going to let this marinate about 10 to 15 minutes and if you have time you can marinate them for hours in the refrigerator now let’s make our salt and pepper mix so start with salt about a half tablespoon salt and one tablespoon Sichuan pepper powder so when we talk about the salt and pepper we mostly refer to Sichuan pepper powder and ground black pepper so if you don’t have Sichuan pepper powder just double ground black pepper that’s another tablespoon and if you want some spiciness more spicy you add some chili pepper powder about a half tablespoon as Ray suggested last time add a little bit sugar and simple like that that’s the mix we’re going to use to serve with our chicken wings now after about 10 minutes our chicken has been marinated let’s take them out and onto paper towels make sure dry them that should be good drop it now we’re going to dredge with flour there’s a piece of green onion it’s going to burn so about 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour we even tried corn starch right mhm that wasn’t bad very similar dredge them to make sure they’re all coated I’m just brushing the basket with a little bit oil now place our wings in here’s the last one turn the fryer the temperature up to 375° and here’s the time we do 15 minutes now only a minute left and then let’s check since I’m making bigger batch you probably need to go for another few minutes wow looks good move them around so they cook evenly okay go back again let’s add a few minutes a few more seconds almost there I’m ready are you I’m ready here we go wow hear it awesome now we just sprinkle salt and pepper mix to your own liking I like a lot awesome wow more wow there you have it salt and pepper chicken wings cheers cheers oh my this looks good M wow so crispy that’s great M good idea to add a little bit sugar to the mix wow you got to make some more of these M that’s so crispy we need another batch right I’m dipping into the mix oh the mix is delicious so isn’t this a simple way to make chicken wings of course if you don’t have air fry you can deep fry or shallow fry you can even bake them but try this salt and pepper mix so delicious the flavor is so bold if you like this video please give a thumbs up share and subscribe for more simple recipe thank you so much for watching see you next time

I would have done two batches single layer and flip them over halfway through. Otherwise looks tasty
I just got a nuwave pro xl and can't wait to try these chicken wings
I tried to fry them in one batch and realized it would be better to cook in smaller batches. This way they would be all evenly crispy. I totally agree with @janeProtector-zg6gl
I’ll make this but with garlic and honey too, thank you!
❤❤❤❤
You shouldn't stack them, single layer in 2 batches. And spray them with a little oil for more crispness. Also use the pre-heat setting first.

I have never brined my chicken wings before. I'll do that next time
I'm confused, when do I use the plastic glove and when don't I use it? 🫣
