Chicken Biryani Recipe | Biryani Recipes
Ingredients
– Chicken 1kg
– Bullet Rice 750grams
– Chopped Onion 6-7(medium size)
– Chopped Tomatoes 4(medium size)
– Green Chili 6-7
– Ginger-Garlic paste 2-tbsp
– Red Chili Powder 2tsp
– Coriander Powder 2tsp
– Rock Salt to Taste
– Oil 250ml
– Cinnamon 2inch 2
– Bay leaves
– Cloves 5-6
– Star Anise 2
– Marathi Moggu 1
– Mint Leaves 1cup
– Curd 200ml
– Coriander Leaves 1cup
– Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
– Lemon Juice of 1lemon
– Water
Method
1) Wash rice and soak for 20minutes.
2) In a large vessel add oil, spices and onion. saute till light brown color. Add green chili, ginger garlic paste and saute for 2-3minutes on medium flame.
3) Add tomatoes and saute for few minutes and add coriander leaves and mint leaves.
4) Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and coriander powder saute for a minute. Add rock salt and curd and cook for 2minutes
5) Add chicken, mix well with masala and close the lid and cook for 10-15 minutes.
6) In another vessel boil water and add bay leaf, 1tsp oil and add soaked rice. Cook 3/4th and strain the water.
7) Add lemon juice to chicken gravy and add 3/4th cooked rice and mix well evenly.
8) Close the lid and dum cook for 15 minutes on medium to low flame(seal the edges/place the weigh). Turn off stove and rest for 10 minutes
9) Serve with Raita/Brinjal Curry
