Things To Eat With Rice Part 1

Zippy’s Chili is pretty good and a classic! In Hawaii, the chili with rice costs between $5-$7. I found Zippy’s Chili with rice in the frozen section of a Japanese market for $15. I’d say get it in Hawaii but $15 for the frozen one…not worth it 👀

have you been to hawaii and tried zippy’s chili chili in hawaii is typically served atop a bed of rice and i didn’t realize this was a thing until i saw one of my previous co-workers eating it i was surprised to see him eating with rice i’ll admit it’s because he didn’t seem asian or hawaiian and he said yeah when i was a kid in hawaii we’d always have chili with rice even better with cheese on top and that was the day i learned even though his skin color didn’t show me that he’s hawaiian at heart

  1. I mean, it’s just called chilli con carne. Always have it with rice and maybe some cheese on top. How else do people eat it? 🤔

  2. But have you had Chilli on spaghetti?? With cheese and onion on top?
I grew up eating it like that.
Originally was from a Cincinnati chili recipe.

  3. Honestly, I'm white as fuck, but when I'm too lazy to cook I do absolutely just put chilli on rice, it's one of my favorite quick meals

  4. Im Portuguese and i just add chouriço and more beans + beef and cabbage carrots for a feijoada its not a everyday dish because we (at least my family) tend to make it really heavy lol

  5. California here and chili and rice is really common here too.

so you learned not to judge and stereotype people 👏👏👏👏👏

  6. I’ve been to Hawaii 49 times in my joyful lifetime, and I’m going back twice before the end of the year, a few things I have noticed about my trips are that I’m not too concerned about food when I’m surrounded with the biggest treasure of Hawaii: their people!! I was not a social animal, or a social butterfly but Hawaii native/stablished people are very friendly in their own ways, they are selfless, they care for each other and they are simple, they are uncomplicated, they are warm and polite sometimes with no need for words, and when I’m in their heavenly territory and their god gifted presence I forget to eat!! lol!! Don’t get me wrong: a Luau is not something I’m neglecting or avoiding, when I’m in Hawaii, I’m enjoying the surroundings, I’m visiting a bunch of different people taking gifts and love for them!!

  7. in UK you always eat chili with rice. How else r u supposed to eat chili. I mean sometimes I put it on a jacket potato but thats about it. (and sometimes put cheese on it too)

  8. In the uk its a thing here to but we put chilli on jacket ( baked potato), chip(fries) but the chilli with rice and cheese is the best thing ever!
