Turkey Black Bean Chili

This unique recipe that is named Turkey Black Bean Chili is the perfect meal loaded with all the elements of surreptitiousness for a weeknight after a hectic day or when you don’t have the mood to cook. But still want to enjoy a delicious and healthy dinner with your loved ones.

Besides chopping the onion and garlic cloves, there’s virtually no prep to do at all. How amazing! All you have to throw the ingredients in the skillet, stir and cook them well for 15 minutes and you’re good to go!

Ingredients:
1. Ground Turkey: 1¼ Pounds
2. Onion: 1 Cup (Chopped)
3. Cloves of Garlic: 2 (Minced)
4. Mild Chili Powder: 3 Tablespoons
5. Ground Cumin: 1 Teaspoon
6. Dried Oregano: ½ Teaspoon
7. Cooked Black Beans: 1½ Cups (From Dried or Canned, Drained)
8. Water: ¾ Cup
9. Can Tomato Sauce: One 8-Ounce
10. Chilies: One 4- To 5-Ounce Can (Chopped- including Canning Liquid)
11. Tomato Paste: 2 Tablespoons
12. Bay Leaf: 1
13. Sugar: ½ Teaspoon
14. Instant Espresso Or Coffee: ¼ Teaspoon
15. Salt: To Taste

Directions to Make:
1. In a large nonstick skillet, cook the ground turkey, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat and crumble the turkey until it is no longer pink for about 7 minutes.
2. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and oregano along with beans, water, tomato sauce, chilies, tomato paste, bay leaf, sugar, espresso, and salt.
3. Cook with continuous stirring until the mixture has thickened for about 9-10 minutes
4. Then discard the bay leaf and serve.

Serve and enjoy.
