Is this banana pepper?

I got this pepper plant a long time ago from the local nursery, labelled as banana pepper. I am pretty sure this is not banana pepper though? Any idea what type of pepper this is? I have some bell pepper growing next to it – is it possible some cross pollination has happened? Thanks!!!!
