Pepper problems

Hi all. I’m in Arizona, trying to grow some peppers. To be fair, it’s 110 degrees, and I can’t put the Peppers in direct sunlight as they were getting scalded. They get indirect all day, and some direct in the morning hours. The poor peepers are doing poorly, as the leaves are starting to look like this. I need help identifying the problem causing the leaves to look like this. I cant figure out whether it is heat stress, too much water, not enough water, disease, or other. Or maybe all of it hah.. Our pepper plants a shedding leaves daily and showing no sign of peppers. Any help or guidance is appreciated. (The white powder on the planter box is Sevin, as we were concerned about bugs).
