I first tried their Garlic Reaper, unsurprisingly, but today I received a 6pk of their other sauces… I now see why they are held in pretty high regard. They've kinda mastered this "artisanal" sort of flavor, with a blend of sweet, savory, and hot — sometimes all at once.
I just ate about a dozen chips back to back with Mushroom Mayhem and then the Sweet Onion Habanero, and for two sauces that on their own and in small amounts aren't actually all that hot, the combined effect over a short period led to one of the most intensely hot (yet flavorful) moments of my life.
I guess all I'm saying is… Torchbearer has earned their reputation. They are one of the best in the business. Btw, the Rojo is only there because despite being very mild, it's one of my all-time favorites. It's literally the only one out of 8 hot sauces I received today that I've tried before, but it's just so good.
That is all. I hope you appreciate this break from Buldak, which I haven't been nearly as hip on lately. Speaking of, anyone see those ads for Immi lately? If so, has anyone tried them? I'm very curious but ever skeptical these days
