Jalapeno plant was covered in aphids so i sprayed dish soap on it. Did I kill it?

I saw aphids on a few of my plants so i mixed water and dish soap to spray and kill the aphids. This plant had the most aphids and dropped all its leaves the next day. My other plants i sprayed are ok. I dont really care about this plant, but i will wait to see if it gets better . I really should buy some neem oil to kill aphids.
