This habanero plant is in its second season and it has been growing very well. It is much larger and lusher than it was going into this spring/summer. Over the past week or so, the plant started to bloom for the first time this season, but only the side of the plant closest to the window is blooming. There aren’t very many flowers, maybe a dozen in total. I circled some in a close up photo because they’re hard to see. I’ve gently pollinated each flower by rubbing it with a q-tip, but most if not all of the flowers have started to die/fallen off. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, from what I’ve read the second year should be the most productive for these plants. I have still yet to see any peppers form. Last summer, it was so small it was like three twigs but it still produced one lonely pepper without me even manually pollinating it. I included the best pic I had of that too. Any advice/insight is much appreciated!
