A $7 quesadilla just doesn’t hit the same as it used to when it was $4. Same with the $6 Mexican pizza. The taste and quality of most if not all of the menu is just not what it was even 6 years ago. Portions are smaller, prices have doubled or more, call me crazy but I swear they’re using cheaper ingredients now, the chips specifically always taste off to me. A cheesy bean and rice is now .50 cents higher than it was 3 months ago. It’s like they know they’re losing business so they’re doubling down and raising pricing even more and skimping on ingredients.
I used to be a regular at taco bell, going multiple times a week and getting combos, specialties, anything and everything. But over the last year I’ve gone less and less as quality went down and pricing went up. Now I visit maybe once a month, if that, to try something new or see if anything’s changed. It hasn’t.
R.I.P. Taco Bell.

Nope.
Price has definitely gone up but I haven’t experienced quality of food going down. Only quality of employees since it seems I’m always missing something when I use the drive thru 😑
Not in Omaha, NE.
I work for taco bell so now I get free food so I love it even more. I get pretty creative in the kitchen so I don’t really get tired of it
I’m just tired of Taco Bell, tbh. With the exception of the fries (which they keep taking away from us) and the chili cheese burrito, there just isn’t much variation in the flavor profile of their items.
People talking like this is news…
I don’t know. Ordered a bean burrito and added cantina chicken today and it was damn delicious.
just ate taco bell, 2 meals for under 10, was good as fuck. nope. md
No, not at all.
Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, is all owned by the same brand.
So yes, the quality has gone down over the years.
Yeah but you’re posting anti bell on a bell-owned property. Good luck, Chuck.
No you’re definitely the only one. This is talked about on here several times a day, every single day.
man i just want the cheesy street chalupa back
Found a birra taco place in town. 3 for 10 bucks. Wept it was so good
No, no one has ever said any of this.
It’s not Taco Bell’s fault for this. It’s called inflation that, and I hate to get political, but caused by the tariffs Trump put in place right before the pandemic started. This caused a downward spiral in affordable food & living. So stop blaming the businesses & start blaming Trump and Congress for getting us in this mess in the first place.
Went to one of the locations 2 days ago and they were out of ground beef 🙄. I subbed all beef for chicken. Wasn’t to pleased but I was already there.
I think its because as its no longer cheap, one is more critical to the oopsies and not made well experiences. When it was .89 cents, who cared???
It’s location specific. I have two Taco Bell’s near me and ones pretty bad while ones pretty good.
The trick is to go to a TB where they smoke weed at. Nothing beats getting my food made by someone with red eyes and a goofy ass smile in the drive thru
So don’t go? Vote with your dollar. If we’re willing to pay it, it won’t change. Also search the sub for this exact topic. It is literally discussed daily.
Since 1978 when TB was sold to Pepsi, it’s been downhill ever since.
When the nacho cheese chalupa came out in the early 2000’s, it was amazing. But something had absolutely changed with the quality.
Kroger CEO recently told Congress that they charged well over inflation rate for milk and eggs. It’s the same for Taco Bell. They’re posting 2x profit margins since COVID.
They used supply chain and inflation to keep driving up costs for more profit. It’s disappointing when fast food that was meant to help provide lots of low quality food at affordable prices switches it strategy to preying on the poor and even the middle class.
Taco Bell started using premium grade, culinary crafted, etc. in marketing to psychologically make people think the inflated price is worth it.
The reality is… This is fast food folks. From the 1950s to 2022 – it served the poor and people who wanted a lot of low quality food for cheap.
A place you could go to spend 1 hour worth of minimum wage pay and feed yourself enough low quality calories to make up for a day of working and being unable to cook food at home or have enough energy left to cook for your family. To feel like the king or queen that you were.
Fast food helped make this nation into the capitalistic, industrial powerhouse it is today. It prevented starvation of generations of low wage workers. It prevented riots, crime, and work fridge food theft. It created the behemoth that is fast food parent companies similar to what Post, General Mills, and Kelloggs are to the cereal world.
And how does YUM Brands decide to repay us? By completely destroying it all and inflating food to double their profit margins. They got greedy. They started to prey on the poor and appeal to the upper middle class. They spit in the face of every generation that came before them.
They abandoned reason for madness. They broke the peace treaty thinking we are too stupid to refuse to pay $2 for what was $1 back in 2022 so that they can post record breaking Q2 profits and over 50% of YUM Brand profits because YUM already drove their other 2 major franchises into the ground with similar aggressive price strategies until every pizza place was higher quality and better tasting than Pizza Hut & Popeyes, Chik Fil A, Canes, Church’s, and pretty much every fast food restaurant with a fried chicken sandwich is better than KFC.
I HATE the CEOs and people that are currently in charge of TB. May customers keep finding dead rats in their burritos to help remind everyone… This is fast food. And when you are wrapping 50 Cheesy Bean and Rice Burritos cause the family with 5 teens just came in after a 10 PM football game ended and nobody has eaten anything since 3 PM. Sometimes dead rats are just a little extra protein to them. And whats more horrifying than a dead rat in your burrito… Is that it cost that family $50 before taxes 2 years ago, and now it costs $100 2 years later.
Flavor has gotten bland
These days at least one thing is missing from our order so I end up going inside to get it. But I keep going back so that’s on me.
