Can you mix cayenne and jalapeno for a decent hot sauce?

I've got three big red cayennes just about ready, the rest are at least a week away and you can't leave them ripe on the vine very long right?

I could mix them with some dark green jalapeno’s to make a sauce, as I have a ton of those.

Does that combo work? Any good jalapeno/cayenne reciepes?
