I was gifted a Thai pepper plant, last year, by a member at the Planet fitness I used to work at. All was well, and as expected they grew in, abundantly, at their very small size. I had harvested the seeds of a couple and saved them. Planted them indoors, hydroponically, then transplanted some outside this summer. Moral of the story: they must’ve cross pollinated with my jalapeños last year bc they are no longer normal.

Those have a “Granny Apple Poblano” look to it.
I need to know what these taste like now.
I bought seeds from Refining Fire that were called “Apple Karame” and they grew into peppers that looked exactly like this. If you leave them long enough they turned red.
I was fully prepared for this to be another intra-season “cross-pollination” post, so interesting to see an actual wild cross-pollination! Do the hybrids change color, or are those ripe? How spicy are they?
These don’t have features of Thai or jalapeños. Most likely a seed mix up or mislabeling.
Did this happen on multiple plants?
I’m getting pods that look exactly like that this year after having planted bell peppers and jalapeños close together last year. I call them bellapeños.
