Why is my chicharron black?

I bought this at Vallarta, and I wasn't paying attention while eating it, but when I look down I saw this was how my chicharron looked like. I cut through the other parts and they were fine. Can anyone tell me what this is?

If it’s small it’s probably the part of the pig’s skin that gets tagged with a number tattoo for inspection. If it’s larger it could just be the skins pigment. Remember some breeds are black spotted.

    # Looks like a bad case of Melanosis uberis – it’s the accumulation of melanin pigment in fat layer of pig’s belly around mamary glands.

It’s congenital and not an issue.

I’m Sorry but this doesn’t look like chicken to me. I’m a cook and I have cooked lots of chicken in my life. But the way people are playing around with our food anymore you just can’t trust anyone anymore. Nope nothing, I won’t eat another bite of that. No, not @ all. Be more selective about your choices when it right down to your food . Remember everything we eat does make our bodies react to whatever we feed it. A lot of people wonder why they are always so sick? Well people just remember what I just said. Use some common sense. Which a lot of people don’t have anymore now a days. Sad but so true. Be a little more cautious w/ all you do in your life I said what I said because I do care.
