  1. No way that's 2 tablespoons of chili powder. She only put in about 2 Teaspoons at the most. If it was 2 Tablespoons that chili would be deep red in color.

  2. Good idea to first break up & brown that chop beef before adding in all of the other ingredients all at the same time to give them a chance to blend together slow etc

  3. Hot Dog Charlies has their meat sauce in huge vats, and upon examination, one notices that the chili is very wet. In fact the meat isn't even visible until stirred. The liquid is dark red, and has different colored red oil patches on top. My understanding is that the meat is never browned, but simmered in melted lard, beef broth, chili powder, cumin and onions. For your health !

  4. Great video, but this is why I hate listening to myself on video. I think I have the slightest southern accent, from Charlotte, but I sound like Ghomer Pyle when I’m on camera. My yankee wife thinks it’s cute though, and I’m going to use your recipe for my yankee in-laws tomorrow at my son’s first birthday. Thanks for all that you do and God bless.

  5. Basic git er done procedure, it works just fine and tastes great, I see recipes that use several complicated steps and 2 or 3 pans, tomato sauce and then add sugar and salt, that's what ketchup is, just use that. It's for hot dogs for kids, not a bowl of chili.

  6. I added sugar free ketchup and the chilli was too sweet. I added cumin, cayenne, Worcestershire, and a little beef broth and it toned down the sweetness to more of a tangy flavor. I stopped eating pork years ago and omitted chilli from my hot dogs because they all come with pork in them.
Next time, i may try tomato paste instead of ketchup for a lower carb chilli. Thank you for sharing! This was great with cheese and chopped onions on top

  7. Rule #1 Make your own chili! DO NOT BUY DOG FOOD CHILI> Like WOLF BRAND CHILI ECT YUCK Your taco meat will work excellent as a chili dog as well and less messy cause it drier
