So I have this plant chocolate reapers. Almost 80% of the harvest developed a spot in this same spot that started out as a thinning of the wall and eventually as the pepper ripened it became just a hole in the fruit. I suspected bugs, slugs, etc. but it has happened in the identical pattern each time. All neighboring plants have been fine. Should I try and save the seeds and start over? could that be something that is going to carry over genetically. FYI this is the plants third year and first time it has experienced this.
