After watching a video of Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs being made, I felt like I had no choice… I had to make these but with a few twists! I Cooked these dogs on my https://wildfireoutdoorliving.com/griddles. Check out Chiles and Smoke here: https://www.youtube.com/@UC7xokaR6DeZW210t8WcAA8g
Skyline Chili Recipe:
Prepare at least one day before use for best results.
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground beef heart (or substitute ground beef)
Water (to cover)
15 ounces tomato paste
8 ounces tomato sauce
2 ½ tsp salt (I adjusted to taste after simmering for 2 hours)
1 ¾ tsp onion powder
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 1/2 tbs apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
7 tsp Fleischmann’s instant dry yeast
1 tbsp + 1 tsp Brewer’s/Nutritional yeast
1 tbsp + 1 tsp unsweetened cacao powder
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 3/8 tsp paprika
1 tbsp + 1 tsp allspice
1 5/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1 ¼ tsp ground clove
3/4 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
Place ground meat in a large pot and cover with cold water. Whisk meat until it is broken up into a slurry, then add tomato paste and tomato sauce. Turn the heat to medium-high and simmer until the meat turns gray. At this point, add the rest of the ingredients and adjust the heat to a low simmer with no lid; after two hours of simmering, taste and adjust the ingredients as necessary. Allow to cool and refrigerate until you are ready to reheat and use.

Actually, those hotdogs look amazing, I have never seen a hotdog look like that! Maybe, make a big batch of chilli for the fridge, and make both!

Maybe viagra will help your weiner stand up cysts straight perhaps? 🤔😂🤣😅 jk
This is right up my ally, the other day made a egg grilled cheese breakfast sandwich. Another really good one is garlic bread meatball sub or garlic bread grilled cheese.
Grilled cheese hotdogs, have you and Brad heard about the ongoing obesity epidemic in our country?😂
Thanks for sharing your cook and the link!
This looks AWESOME!!!!
IMMEDIATE SAVE in my YouTube recipes list!!!!! ❤
Greg…I have been watching your videos and have probably been subscribed since about 2009. If anyone has gotten robbed from the algorithm it’s you. You should EASILY have a million subscribers. Now with that said I’ll always support up and comers as we all start from somewhere. Cheers!!!
Perfect dogs for the end of baseball season, Greg. I don't know if you're a padres fan but cheers for the recipe!
Greg New Castle PA is the capital of hotdogs in the USA. They eat more hotdogs than anywhere else because of the Greek hotdog sause. Copycat their sause.
Really love how these "envelopes" being sealed by the caramelised cheese – great idea! Thank you very much!
I'm 4 minutes in and frustrated with your video, just get on with it already.
I like the videos for consprity of the si petrify if is facility preparate and discutising
Bacon wrap one of those suckers! Holy cow these look amazing! By the way, let me know when you want to meet in Tucson for some Sonoran Dog recon!!
Looks like it works! I think I will give it a try! Thanks
Dietz and Watson are a great brand, but lately, since ( in So-Cal at least) I've been buying Snake River Farms, which is convenient instead of ordering online. Great Wagu Dog.
There almost like a hot pocket, great job! 💫

I’ll try it with a spicy Louisiana hot link and a very thick homemade bbq sauce. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Greg, you're an artist when it comes to food. Those dogs looked so good.
Consider breaking the video down into chapters. However; the dogs look great.
Curved wiener 😂
A million times too much trouble for lazy me. I just put sauerkraut on my hot dogs. Maybe mustard too, but even that's too much trouble… 🙂

Ah yes… – The chili dog! – a house favorite here! – Thanks Greg – Cheers!
Think I should try more dogs in the near future 😉
I used to get all fancy with hotdogs.
Now I heat them in water to help get rid of the salt.
Steam the bun.
Heat up a can of Wolf brand chili still in the can.
Dice up onions.
That's it.
I always score the dogs, I use sahlens….from Buffalo ny
Great idea for chili dogs or stuffed hotdogs.
And we never burn anything; we caramelize. Right?
@ 4:10, I thought it was corn starch.
Thanks for the shoutout! Yours looked amazing 🤩
Have you ever tried Tony Packos chili sauce? I think that it's delicious. My favorite for hot dogs.
Oh my sweet baby Jesus. I need like, a platter of these.
You know it's good when Greg practically inhales the test bites!
First off I really enjoy your content. Second whoever was giving you flack for adding water to the ground beef obviously don't know what the hell they're talking about. It's a technique we used a lot in the kitchens I used to work in. When I make bolognese I use this technique because the last thing I want are big clumps of ground beef/veal in my sauce
11:01 needs to be a better way to Do this. Like you a spatula or something.
Go Padres in Game 5!
