Mexican Food

Breakfast for 5 hungry adults at a restaurant in central Mexico, the state of Guanajuato.

The restaurant was full of locals and expats. The menu featured traditional Mexican food and some American dishes. This is typical of many restaurants.

The bill for 5 people was $780 pesos (~$40 US) and included 10 espresso beverages and a shared plate of fresh biscuits and pan.

We walked away stuffed.

We ordered flautas, enjitomatades, pan de francés, eggs, bacon, hotcakes.

Next time we'll order the chilaquiles, burrito, molletes con chilaquiles rojos and tamales.

No beans, pass. Looks like something a gringo would buy.

Oh shut up! You’re going to have me booking a flight there just because this all sounds so good!

  8. Save time by not reinventing the dishes names or what you think is the spelling! 😆 It annoying to those who actually know Spanish. WTF is “pan de francés”? Wrong construction. Ugh expats, you’re all immigrants period.
