Lemon Pepper Chicken Recipe | Spicy Chicken Roast | Indian Lemon Chicken



Experience a burst of zesty and aromatic flavors with our irresistible Lemon Pepper Chicken recipe. This delightful dish combines tender chicken with the tangy essence of fresh lemons and the subtle heat of black pepper. The result is a mouthwatering dish that will leave your taste buds craving for more.

Ingredients:

1) Chicken -500g, skinless
2) Curd – 1 tbsp
3) Ginger & garlic paste – 1 tbsp
4) Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
5) Oil – 3 tbsp
6) Black pepper powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
7) Salt to taste
8) Cinnamon – 1 inch
9) Cloves – 3
10) Black pepper corns – 1/4 tbsp

Directions:
1. Add chicken pieces to a bowl
2. Add 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, salt, 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon of curd, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
3. Mix the marinade ingredients and chicken pieces and make sure the chicken pieces are fully coated.
4. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 2 hours.
5. Heat the cooking oil over a pan over low flame. Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and black pepper corns; and saute for few seconds.
6. Spread marinated chicken on the pan over high flame and leave it to cook for 2 minutes.
7. Flip the chicken and leave it to cook for another 2 minutes.
8. Shift to low-flame and cover cook for 10 minutes.
9. Open the lid and flip the chicken to make sure all the sides are cooked evenly. Repeat the flipping process until the chicken is cooked.
9. Next, add 1/2 tablespoon black pepper powder and let it cook for few minutes.
10. Flip the chicken again and allow it cook for another few minutes.
11. Once the chicken is cooked through, move the chicken to a plate. The hot and delectable chicken is ready to serve with the tangy mint chutney as a dip sauce.
